I have started it up and liking it so far. After playing thru content I would like to enjoy some multi-player. I am in act 2 now level 23 duelist. I can start over with a different chara for Multi-player or can use my current to explore new areas but I prefer to go slow and explore for first contact of areas.

I'm playing, though servers seem to be quite stressed at times. Rubberbanding, getting out of sync etc. It's quite annoying, but meh, it's still in beta. And the combat is a bit clunky, I don't think there is a way of telling when monsters avoid your hit or whether you're lagging or out of sync. But still, having great fun.

Is there a way to add someone by account name, all I saw in the friends option was to add by character name?

I'm trying to give it a go while waiting for 1.0.7 (and TL2 got boring.) Not sure how long I'll last with this promise that "the gameplay gets better later on the more you level" and the absolutely vile community. So glad I found how to disable global chat.

It should get better with support gems and properly linked items. I'm going to be life leech AoE stunner. Life leech works even without the WM curse, not to mention when I'm able to cast it, and AoE boost & stuns/ias are now near me in passives. Plus the support gem if it someday drops... So there is that goal to work on to.

Although I'm hitting the same wall as in closed beta, Vaal and chaos dealing cobras/"lamps". With 0% res they chew and spit me out. Fastest solution would be to upgrade ES as Cres nodes are so scarce and wrong way from my path. Or get lucky with drops.

e: Favor armor that gives both physical and energy (chain etc.), get Discipline, get the 8% ES nodes from passives. Also Leap Slam with stun to get the critters faster. It's nice to plan again, bring in the break points and it's fresh D2 again
