Well, I daren't post this on the official site, so I guess I'll have to put community of raging fanboys as my first dislike.
- Armor, basically the more damage a monster deals, the less %dr armor gives. Seems backwards to me.
- Getting levels after 50+ seems to be really slow (melee in A1 hell though, might be down to that)
- Looting system, I often have trouble picking up items while playing solo with the lag and the out of sync, no way I'm giving my precious loot to someone else with better connection. That + there is already pickit
- Uniques, I have a level 57 marauder, haven't found one yet. Might be because they haven't made loads of them yet, hopefully this will be corrected once the beta is over.
I'll try to keep in mind it's still in beta before I start complaining too much![]()

Re: Things you dislike about PoE
I have not found the chat and social features very easy to use and comprehend.
No in game party chat? (that I have discovered.) and need to type the character name you want to talk to even in game seems cumbersome.
The server stablity issues are what they are, I usually get booted from game once or twice a night but that is not too bad for a free game in open beta. I certainly would not want to play HC yet though.
Being more a casual gamer I have not the time nor will to plot detailed builds out based on the passive tree. So I know I am making mistakes as I allocate some skill pts but I have accepted that. It would be nice to have some sort of preliminary selection you can do to see the affects of selecting 1 or 10 pts based on your skill gems and gear and then if you like it, hit a "apply" button to make it permanent or canel it and try again. A sort of preview if you will.
I would like to see numeric moster health bars. Just graphics is good, graphics and numbers is better.
And geezz my marauder is one ugly dude.
I am enjoying it though. I like that I can customize weapons/items when I need to and reroll things to suit me better.

Re: Things you dislike about PoE
Some minor things I can live with as I can't pin point any major flaws now. Except "hit while run" meaning if I'm on the move and want to hit monster or open a chest the movement has to stop/I must re-click the object before I can perform the action. And combat sound effects could be more punctual still, when the mace meets the skull.

Re: Things you dislike about PoE
I find movement and combat to be a touch clunky. I got used to it fairly fast, but it certainly feels less responsive than D3 (or even, in my mind at least, D2).
I second the chat interface seeming a bit off as well. I haven't really tried to use it much yet, but that's been my impression.
My biggest overall gripe is that I don't really like any of the characters. They play fine, and I have no problem with them as such. But in terms of backstory/appearance/etc, I just really prefer D2's take/setting (or even D3's, if only the appearance were a bit less ... whatever that art-style is). The knight type guy in D1 and the paladin in D2 just do it for me much better than the templar, marauder, or duelist in PoE, for instance. Same goes for the diablo sorceresses/wizard versus the witch, and all that. The marauder simply looks awful imo. I wouldn't want to play it, even if I wanted to play that class.

Re: Things you dislike about PoE
The desyncing is the worst thing and I'll actually stop playing if they don't fix it soon. Only reason I'm still playing PoE is the fact that the 1.0.7 patch for D3 hasn't yet arrived. Shame really, as otherwise this is a really good game.
I also noticed that leveling slowed A LOT after reaching level 50. A good thing to keep in mind when designing new characters. They really need to start working before that or they're dead.

Re: Things you dislike about PoE
I feel pretty strongly that this is a positive. Although you're point about needing to know what you're doing before then is spot on. My first char is already a bit botched on the skill tree, but I don't really mind. I'll keep having fun until it stops working, and will probably have picked up a ton.I also noticed that leveling slowed A LOT after reaching level 50.
I've decided to do my best to go through the game once without reading any build guides... I decided they kill so much of the adventure when you're just starting off. All of the build options really are a bit overwhelming though. But in a good way.

Re: Things you dislike about PoE
Haven't actually encountered any desync (only when my torrent client is running), but that would definitely kill the game for me. Playing HC with no troubles.
Combat and movement feels clunky after D3, but I got used to it.
Chat system is my biggest disappointment as of now. I really miss D2 style channels.

Re: Things you dislike about PoE
Something else that bugs me is the way certain objects in the forground block the view of my character and monsters. Certain walls and trees and such.

Re: Things you dislike about PoE
I hate walls that do that, but I quite liked the trees. Made me feel like I really were in a jungle, maybe I'm just weird.
Another thing I dislike is how you can target minions, even though there isn't afaik a spell to use on them. I often just keep clicking on a minion that I've converted with dominating blow thinking it's a monster. I hear it's pretty bad if you're in a party with a summoner.

I was just agreeing with the OP on that leveling suddenly slows down a lot at around level 50 but that's totally fine by me.
