Added:Unique price list, how to improve game function
[The pictures in this thread can be found in the PoE Fan Art Competition here]
So I'm loving this game, even though I'm still new for the most part. I know a lot of people are sometimes overwhelmed or intimidated by some of the game's more intricate features. And unless you get bitten by the PoE bug right away, I'm worried it might turn off good gamers who would otherwise really enjoy it. So, I wanted to try and organize all the things that have helped us out, especially in the early days, to make things easier on newer players, but also as a place for me to keep everything in one place myself. What are some online resources for PoE that you all find extremely useful? Here's the ones I keep coming back to as a beginner in the game. Woudn't mind editing this to add any you all suggest too. I won't list third party programs that run in conjunction with the game, however. These are explicitly banable [Bold = Most Helpful for Beginners, possibly mandatory bookmarking].
Very Helpful Tools/Sites For Bookmarking:
Exilestats.com/ex/ [Currency Exhange Rates- Warning, Very subjective and not official]
Krip's NugiPriceList [general item and currency pricelist for Hardcore League. Very helpful]
PoExplorer.com [A shop indexer, allowing detailed, instantaneous searches of PoE Trade Thread]
The Exiled Sale Recipe Book [vendor recipes]
Path of Exile Wiki Homepage [For general inquiries]
Unique Items List [nicely organized]
PoE Helper [amazing Inventory Analyzer and Recipe Adviser Chrome Extension]
"Procurement" [open-source program, personal stash search bar, instantaneous trade thread creator- for those with lots of tabs]
Unofficial Offline Skilltree Calculator [This thing is a pretty amazing tool. Save builds, complete stat-rundowns, and items all on one low resource program. Great for planning builds too, but I love just saving builds I'm trying, want to try, or have ideas about to this. Easier than bookmarks. Just wish it had a notes section for each build.]

Your Crafting Resource Guide
Streamlined tool showing Possible Affixes vs. Item
http://poespreadsheet.********.com/ [blog spot w/o the space]
guide that gives approximate value of Uniques as well as other stuff. Not the be all end all, but it's a good place to get a rough idea of the value of something at least
Not really a resource, but might be worth to include somewhere in there for those with crappy computers. You can only set texture quality to high or medium in game, but 0-10 from a config file. C:\Users\xxx\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\production_Config.ini
texture_quality=X 0 is high, goes up to (or down to) 10 which is the lowest setting. I just had a go, and it makes the game look.. interesting

The Worth Of Gems* [poegems.info is now out and possibly is more useful]
*The Worth Of Gems is a sheet showing the GENERAL worth of gems in default league, so you at least know what's super valuable, what's super mediocre. These prices need to be taken with a grain of salt and not be seen as hard values, rather as a learning tool for beginners. ESPECIALLY since they come from pretty much one player's perspective.

Re: Invaluable Resources
I am not sure how valuable www.poeex.info is based on the fact prices are set by individuals and it's effectively a barter economy. Not sure how healthy it is for the economy to use it as a guideline.

Re: Invaluable Resources
I completely agree, but for newcomers who have value range estimations the size of Texas for any item, any idea of general value can help. Also, in my personal experience, I've found the main ones (chaos:gcps, gcps:exalted, alchs:chaos, alchs:fusions:scourings) to be fairly accurate. But I understand the argument.
Again though, if you remember how it was as a newcomer where even a SINGLE opinion on an item's value was so helpful (the currency system, like the tree, is kind of intimidating to some), and at least accept that this site is a BUNCH of guys' opinions, it's easy to see it as a helpful resource. But yeah, there's even a disclaimer at the top reminding everyone that it's a totally subjective take on a very liquid economy, which I love about PoE.
I COMPLETELY agree tho that it's probably not in the economy's best interest to perpetuate a single currency sheet for everything and will remove it from the list since that's a great point.
Edit: On second thought, that REALLY helped me my first 2 days with the game, feel awful taking it out. Gonna add a more imposing disclaimer.Last edited by DickScotchfist; 15-02-2013 at 15:14.

Re: Invaluable Resources
There are tabs across the top to select item type, and each of those has data. There's no data on the main page.
