Season 1 of Race Events Announced!

They just announced the first series of official race events they will be running over the next few months that they are calling Season 1.

Seems super awesome and fun and you can win prizes, will definitely compete, although I hold no delusions about winning any of them or anything, will be fun to see how well I can do in general.

Things like this and leagues and stuff are going to give this game a ton of replayability.

Yeah, I'm definitely excited too, although I won't have time for many of these and doubt I'll do that well in the one's I do. I'm under the impression that you get stuff just for placing "passably" well though, even if you're not in the very top, so everyone's sort of a winner eventually.

Definitely makes for some interesting build choices too. Do your really want to pick up all the life nodes in a 4 hour HC race when you could pick up more damage to get ahead? Choices choices.

I think I will probably do some of the races, but they do seem less exciting when there is not immediate prize like their were in previous races.

It sounds like fun, but I haven't ventured into HC yet due to connection and server issues. But, if I have an hour to sit down for at one of those time slots, I'll probably give it a go. The theory of it does seem like a lot of fun, and has the potential to add a lot of replayability.

This seems awesome. I'll give it a try, even though Uder is always telling me in-game how awesome he is and that he'd be surprised if he DIDN'T win every single prize five times. I dunno, seems a little cocky to me. But I guess even with Uder winning everything, I can give it a try.

I dunno, uder has some pretty mad skillz, I'm inclined to believe it.

I really love the idea of these events, and it's my goal to compete in one at some point. Only problem is that they are at rather bad times for me.

Yeah, where's your dedication Kestegs. I'll remote in to my home computer if I have to. It'll be easier to explain how I won if I at least have a character signed up.

I like how there are "non-1st" rewards like all players who survive to 13 get 3 points. I mean coming in 1st out of hundreds as a goal isn't fun, but something like that is to me. I may not get close at all, but now I'm totally into trying this.
